Who we are

Local Roulette LLC (“Local Roulette,” “we,” “us”) operates Local Roulette, a local discovery app that helps you find restaurants, entertainment, and things to do by spinning a wheel. Each city edition, like Tulsa Roulette, is part of the same service and covered by this policy.

Information we collect

Information you give us

• Account details, such as your name, email address, and phone number if you provide one.
• Perks and coupons you claim or request, and any messages, feedback, or support requests you send us.
• If you list a business, the information you submit for the listing (see Business listings).

Information collected automatically

• How you use the app: spins and results, filters you set, spots you view, save, or tap, and links you open, such as directions, reservations, or ordering.
• Device and technical information: device type, operating system, app version, language, crash reports, and identifiers associated with your device or app installation.
• Approximate location based on your IP address, and the city you select in the app.

Location

If you give permission, we use your device’s location to show nearby spots and what is open now. You can turn location off at any time in your device settings and choose a city manually instead.

Information from other sources

We show business details such as hours, addresses, ratings, and photos that come from public sources and from Google.

Cookies on our websites

Our websites use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, measure traffic, and support marketing. You can control cookies in your browser settings.

How we use information

• To provide the app: create your account, run the wheel, apply your filters, show what is open now, and deliver perks and coupons.
• To personalize what you see and improve Local Roulette, including through analytics and testing.
• To communicate with you about your account, perks, and updates, and to send marketing where you have agreed or the law allows. You can opt out at any time.
• To report activity to the businesses listed in the app, as described in How we share information.
• To promote Local Roulette and our partners, and to sell or share information as described in Selling and sharing.
• To protect the app, prevent fraud and abuse, enforce our terms, and comply with the law.
• To create aggregated or de-identified information, which we may use and share for any purpose.

How we share information

Service providers

We use companies that help us run Local Roulette, such as providers of hosting, databases, customer relationship management, messaging and email delivery, automation, analytics, crash reporting, and payment processing. They may use your information only to provide services to us.

Participating businesses

If you claim a perk or coupon, contact a business, or otherwise interact with a business’s listing, we may share information about that interaction with that business. This can include your name, contact details, which perk you claimed, and when.

Businesses on our higher-tier listing plans may receive additional information, such as lead details and engagement data about people who interact with their listing. This may include personal information where the law permits.

Google and other third-party services

We use Google services to display place details and hours. Google’s handling of information is described in the Google Privacy Policy. When you tap out to a third-party service, such as maps, reservations, or delivery, that service has its own privacy policy, and we do not control it.

Business transfers

If Local Roulette LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Legal and safety

We may disclose information when we believe it is required by law or legal process, or necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Local Roulette, our users, or others.

Selling and sharing

We may sell personal information, or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, with third parties such as advertisers, marketing and data partners, analytics companies, and businesses that list on Local Roulette.

The categories of personal information that may be sold or shared are:

• Identifiers, such as name, email address, phone number, and device or advertising identifiers.
• App activity and preference information, such as what you spin, filter, view, save, and claim.
• Inferences we draw from that activity about your food, entertainment, and neighborhood preferences.

We do not sell or share your precise geolocation. We do not sell or share personal information of anyone we know is under 18.

Your choices and rights

• Opt out of sale and sharing. Email [email protected] with the subject “Do Not Sell or Share.” On our websites, where the law requires it, we treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as an opt-out request.
• Location. Turn location permission off in your device settings.
• Marketing messages. Use the unsubscribe link in any email, or reply STOP to a text message.
• Account deletion. Ask us to delete your account and information using the contact details below.

Texas and Oklahoma privacy rights

If you live in Texas or Oklahoma, or another state with a privacy law that applies to us, you may have the right to confirm whether we process your personal information and to access it, to correct it, to delete it, to receive a copy in a portable format, and to opt out of the sale of your personal information, targeted advertising, and profiling. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.

We collect precise location only with your permission, and we do not sell or share it.

To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before acting on it. We respond within 45 days, and if we need more time we will tell you why. You can also have an authorized agent submit a request for you. If we decline your request and you disagree, you can appeal by replying to our response or emailing us with the subject “Appeal.” You may also contact the Texas Attorney General or the Oklahoma Attorney General.

Business listings

If you list a business on Local Roulette, the information you submit for the listing, such as the business name, address, hours, phone number, website, photos, and offers, may be displayed publicly in the app and on our websites. Please do not include information you do not want to be public. Billing information is handled by our payment processors.

How long we keep information

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the app, run our business, and meet legal obligations. When you ask us to delete your information, we delete or de-identify it unless we are required or permitted to keep it, for example to resolve disputes or comply with the law.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee the security of information you send us.

Children

Local Roulette is intended for people who are 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top and, if the changes are significant, notify you in the app or by email.
